PDFontFixer

PDFontFixer (PDF Font Fixer) is a dedicated, free tool designed to repair PDF documents suffering from broken text encoding. The core problem is a missing Unicode map for embedded fonts, which disables copying and causes garbled text. Our software addresses this by scanning the document with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to identify each character glyph. It then reconstructs the correct Unicode mapping table and embeds it back into the PDF. The result is a fixed file where all text is selectable, searchable, and copies cleanly, solving compatibility issues without altering the original visual layout.
